The new LARP year has begun, and starting today (then every other Tuesday), we’ll be meeting in Billings Park at 6pm for practice.
The last Sunday of the month will be a meet up for a battle that will effect the ebb and flow of the game world.
Rules Changes are still being put into the book and website, but there were very few this year. These will be talked about at practice, just to remind everyone.
Hope to see everyone there!

Jan 3st. Clear your calendars.
We’re meeting at the Sr. Center for game day and dinner.
I’m going to get there around 10 am to set up, dinner will start about 5.
Dinner is potluck. For those who can’t, or don’t want to cook, I’m thinking of doing a pizza, wings, cheesebread run, and people can pitch in $5. Any extra will go into the treasury and be used to rent halls and stuff in the future. Let me know if anyone has any issues with this.
Game day is totally open to everyone. So if you know people who like board games, etc bring them with.
Dinner does require some sort of contribution, and it also going to be where I hear issues about the rules system, ideas, suggestions, etc. I’m going to float some of my own out at the dinner, so it’ll be good discusion.
Alright, see everybody Monday for Weapon making, and following Saturday for game day.

Hey all,
The upcoming winter schedule for LARP meetings and get-togethers is as follows, note that all meetings will take place on mondays in the afternoon because that was generally the best time for everyone at the last meeting.
January the 26th we will meet at the library to craft weapons/arrows/spell packets, and pretty much any physical prop or weapon you’d like to work on. There will probably be a few different designs, from classic to post neo-modern baroque.
In February (probably the 23rd) we’re going to shoot for a murder mystery get together using the LARP characters.
In March (again probably the 23rd) we’ll be having a classic game night, bring your favorite nerdy board games. I’m partial to Battle masters myself.
And in April (13th) we’re going to meet once more and either repair our old weapons or construct new ones again. hopefully in May we’ll be close enough to play again.
The Potluck is likely happening on January 31st.
More to come. Stay warm.

Ok, I’ve been holding out hope that I could find something for tomorrow night, the 18th.
I can not.
The rooms were booked months ago, and it just isn’t going to happen. So, what we’ll do is head in the following week, on the 25th. We have a room at 6:30 at the Superior Library.
Topics of discussion will be:
- Picking a January game day/dinner.
- Moving next years meetings to Monday.
- Maybe moving meetings to weekends over the winter to keep it during daylight.
- Deciding what activities we might like to do when we do meet indoors.
- Where we might meet indoors.
If you can’t make it that day, get a hold of me and let me know your thoughts on this stuff. By email is best, but however works.
Thanks,
Chris

Actually you know what. Yeah those will keep me from doing LARP. Ok, we lost a bunch of people due to dark, rain and elections. If you’re reading this no need to head out to the park. I’ll go make sure no one’s there, but I’m going to scrub tonight.
In a couple weeks we’ll try for an indoor meeting to decide what we want to do with the winter schedule, and plan the Jan dinner.
More details to follow on that soon.
